Hardware, apps and game reviews.

Dominus

Dominus  is an online strategy game where you have to take other peoples' castles while defending your own and getting resources. It is mainly free but the pro account doesn't really do much more so it doesn't really make a difference. The game has different speeds of game and I prefer the relaxed games because it happens quite slowly and means you don't have to be looking at it all of the time. Some of the mechanics in the game are quite complicated and hard to understand but it has a very good help option so you can easily understand (this resolves the fact that it doesn't have a tutorial). The goal of the game is to be a lord of everyone in the whole server. To be a Lord of someone you have to take their castle. As a reward for taking a castle you will get 10% of your vassal's (person who you are a lord to) income. The game is not optimised for the phone but it is possible to play it, although I wouldn't recommend it.

Tayasui Sketches

Tayasui Sketches is a drawing app for Mac Os, Android and IOS. I have experience with the app and I created this on my iPad in 20 minutes. The app is free but doesn't have some of the tools and you can't use layers. The pro version of the app costs £4.99 (not sure what in dollars) and, in my opinion, is worth it. It would be quite hard (not impossible but hard) to create any good art without the layers.

Bebot

Bebot is an app for IOS and Android. It is a synthesiser app but it has a robot that looks like it is singing when the synth is playing. You start out with 30 standard synths but you can then edit and change to make your own. Once you made your own synth you can save it and come back to it, so can use and change it.

Blogger

As you probably know this blog is made on blogger. Blogger is an easy to use and almost completely free online tool for making blogs. I find it easy to use and it is an enjoyable experience using it.

Chrome OS

Chrome OS

Here is my actual review for Chrome OS, not for the Chromebook, but if you want to know I have a Lenovo N22 Chromebook. You would think that it is not that useful and that you can't do much on it, because it is mainly using Google Chrome for everything; but i can't find much that you can do on most computers that you can't do on the Chromebook. Google have recently added the Google Play Store to the Chromebook. This is both good and bad. It is good because there are more apps that you can access, but is bad because Google don't show what apps will work on certain Chromebooks and won't on others. I like Chrome OS and so far have written my whole blog on it, including this one.
Welcome to the new technology, where I will be digging out the best bits from other technology blogs so that you don't have to.
